Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Representative to join our team at Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge Smithers. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process.
  • Investigate complaints and claims in a fair and timely manner, resolving issues to the satisfaction of our guests.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking care to ensure all details are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as general information about points of interest in the area.
  • Exchange foreign currency and process guests' departures, calculating charges and receiving payments.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms with precision and accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues alike.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to learn and take initiative, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on location and industry standards. This estimate may vary depending on individual circumstances and qualifications.
