Job Title: Front Desk Associate
Job Summary: We are seeking a Front Desk Associate to join our team at Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge Smithers. As a Front Desk Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and process room changes
- Process group arrivals and departures, including handling room reservations and cancellations
- Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as local attractions and activities
- Exchange foreign currency and process guest payments
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
- Follow emergency and safety procedures, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform light housekeeping duties
