We are a fast-paced restaurant seeking a skilled Culinary Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring exceptional quality and efficiency in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

Salary & Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will be entitled to gratuities and free parking available on site.

Job Description

As our Culinary Operations Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including cooks and kitchen assistants.
  • Training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimating ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and implementing efficient ordering systems.
  • Ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Addressing customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Preparing and submitting reports to management on kitchen performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A college education in culinary arts or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment.
  • Certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, Smart Serve, Food Safety, and Safe Food Handling.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly under pressure.
  • Knowledge of culinary science and techniques, as well as menu planning and pricing strategies.
