Health Care Aide

As a Health Care Aide at Aspira Mayfair Terrace Retirement Living, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional care to our residents. Your passion for leading a team and commitment to the Team Member Experience will drive our communities to thrive.
The Health Care Aide is a vital position within our communities, impacting the lives of residents and fostering meaningful connections. This is a Permanent Casual (On-Call) position with a competitive hourly rate of $29.60 until wage leveling ends, then reflecting collective agreement pay rates.
Your typical day will involve:
- Maintaining resident records and required documentation in accordance with policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Providing medication assistance and care tasks, including BP monitoring, catheter care, assistance with ROM, mobility/movement exercises, medication administration, and other delegated tasks.
- Monitoring resident well-being in accordance with our residence's policy.
- Performing other related duties as required to support common area cleaning, laundry, and resident care assignments.
- Completing all aspects of resident care as outlined in the personal service plan.
- Responding promptly to resident call bells and door alarms, providing courteous service.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Successful completion of a Care Aid certificate program.
- Medication Certification.
- Current First Aid/CPR training and experience with medication assistance.
- Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
- Pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check.
