Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Professional to join our team in Yellowknife. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with experience working on projects of medium complexity/size. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering all structural engineered systems or products for a project
  • Developing designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats
  • Utilizing BIM technologies to create three-dimensional models of building's structural systems and providing markups for junior engineers/designers

Other key duties include preparing and revising documentation, leading project coordination meetings, participating in client project requirement meetings, and assisting upper-level staff with developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer eligible for registration with the Engineers Yukon and Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG)
  • Strong knowledge of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, and other software relevant to the role
Benefits
