We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Stuart Olson, a leading provider of industrial maintenance services. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Operate rigging equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts.
- Assemble, install, and repair machinery, including bearings, gears, and shafts.
- Align and test equipment to ensure proper function.
- Perform predictive and operational maintenance procedures to prevent equipment failures.
- Repair and replace defective parts, and maintain an inventory of replacement parts.
- Prepare layouts and plans for maintenance activities, including material selection and sequencing.
- Ensure work areas are clean and free of hazards.
- Report incidents, near misses, and damages/non-damages, and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures.
- Journeyman Millwright ticket.
- Energy Safety Canada certifications, including H2S Awareness, CSO Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, and Monitor Elevated Work Platform.
- Valid driver's license.
- Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing.
- Working at heights.
- Working in confined spaces.
- Working in and around noise and dust.
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions.
- Must be clean-shaven.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50lbs with assistance.
- Stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects.
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
