Facilities Engineer

Job Summary:
The Plant Engineer is a key member of the Trivium Packaging team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the facility's engineering functions, including technical operations, manufacturing equipment, and processes.
- Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and manage the facility's capital budget, ensuring that projects are aligned with business objectives and are executed on time and within budget.
- Partner with corporate engineering to ensure alignment and integration of facility engineering activities with corporate goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a highly technical manufacturing operation, with a strong background in electrical engineering and process control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics/prints.
- Working knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and related quality improvement tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with manufacturing improvement methods implementation.
- Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and related quality improvement tools.
- Metal can manufacture experience.
- High-speed manufacturing experience.
