Job Title: General Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled General Construction Labourer to join our team at NWR Maintenance & Construction Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks on construction sites, including loading and unloading materials, leveling earth, and performing routine maintenance work.

Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading construction materials
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
  • Paving and raking asphalt
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Performing routine maintenance work
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Directing traffic at or near construction sites
Credentials
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • First Aid Certificate
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a physically demanding environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and heat.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
