Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our shop operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our facility, providing exceptional support to our members and participants.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and implement strategies for improving cleanliness and organization of the shop and facility
  • Maintain equipment and machinery, performing routine service tasks as needed
  • Develop and maintain an efficient system for sorting and organizing tools and materials
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and participants, addressing their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assist with setting up for workshops and programs, including machine and equipment setup as required
  • Perform regular maintenance and upkeep on facilities, including cleaning, painting, and other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
  • Physical ability to lift loads approximately 50lbs in weight
  • Knowledge of woodworking, metal-working and machine shop equipment (an asset)
  • Experience with digital fabrication equipment (3D Printers, laser cutter, CNC router) (an asset)
  • Basic knowledge of CAD, CAM and Design software and concepts (an asset)
  • Forklift or reach-truck experience (an asset)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Reliable with patience and professionalism
Salary Range:

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
