Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Facility Support Person to join our team at The Pod Group. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, providing exceptional support to our members and participants.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to work under limited supervision. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the shop and facility, providing basic services to equipment as needed, sorting and organizing tools and materials, and assisting members where required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, including setup and operation
  • Sort and organize tools and materials, ensuring they are easily accessible
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and participants, responding to their needs and concerns
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient shop operations, including machine setup and operation
Requirements
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work under limited supervision, with minimal guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical capability to lift loads up to 50lbs in weight
  • Knowledge of woodworking, metalworking, and machine shop equipment an asset
What We Offer
