Job Summary

The ECN Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth planning and implementation of customer, supplier, and internal engineering changes at our Dortec Newmarket facility.

About the Role

  • Plans and manages system and engineering changes on programs from initial notification to full implementation, including collaboration with FSS suppliers.
  • Ensures zero obsolescence at Dortec and its suppliers, and coordinates customer claims when necessary.
  • Reviews new Bill of Materials (BOMs) loaded into the Computerized Maintenance System (CMS) for accuracy.
  • Prepares and provides timelines for program implementation, supporting all stakeholders.
  • Monitors and reports on open issues and change/project implementation status as required.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and prepares potential implementation risks for management and cross-functional teams.
  • Directs all departments (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Program Management, BOM Coordinators, and Materials) to adhere to scheduled implementation timelines.
  • Facilitates weekly communication meetings for all change processes and supplies management updates on status.
  • Creates and updates inventory tracking and implementation for new programs.
  • Ensures customer deliverables are met and monitors PPAP completion within customer requirements.
  • Determines if any customer alerts are necessary.
  • Adheres to office/work standards outlined in the company handbook and performs job functions in a safe and healthful manner, following all health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of work-related experience, preferably in manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Related manufacturing/industry experience.
  • Ability to work overtime to complete projects by set deadlines.
  • Independence and ability to direct attention to multiple demands.
  • Handling high volumes of work.
  • Domestic travel.
