Job Description:

The Studio Assistant position is a paid opportunity to work in the SSENSE studio alongside Stylists, Coordinators, and Photographers. Reporting to the Studio Assistant Coordinators, the Studio Assistant will ensure the ready-to-wear and accessories photoshoot operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in receiving and returning products to and from the Distribution Center
  • Transfer items and log inventory movements in the Warehouse Management System
  • Identify and track daily stock issues (damages, inventory discrepancies, labelling, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the styling room
  • Assist the Stylists by requesting and picking matching products from our onsite mini-warehouse
  • Carefully unpack clothes, shoes, and accessories
  • Prepare clothing racks for the Stylists
  • Ensure all garments are prepped and photoshoot ready (steam/iron clothes, etc.)
  • Assist the Merchandise Team by tracking all samples for special projects and high traffic launches
  • Work closely with the Set Coordinators and Producers to ensure photoshoot objectives are attained
  • Support the department by performing various studio tasks as required

Requirements:

  • 1 year of coordination or retail experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Knowledge of textiles and garment care
  • Interest in fashion, styling, and e-commerce photography
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of WMS systems, an asset
  • Understanding of how warehouse operations, an asset
  • Must be open to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Ability to walk 5 km per day with equipment and/or stand for extended periods, when required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 30 lbs
