Job Overview

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre seeks a seasoned Strategic Workforce Leader to spearhead the transformation of staff scheduling initiatives, ensuring optimized workforce strategies across the organization while balancing employee morale and engagement.

About the Role

This leadership position requires strategic and operational expertise in implementing scheduling transformation initiatives, supporting optimized workforce strategies, and collaborating with senior leaders to understand their needs and priorities.

  • Provide strategic leadership and hands-on support to the Scheduling & Workforce Optimization team in planning, developing, and managing complex project plans.
  • Directly manage projects/workstreams where appropriate, particularly where organizational risk is significant and complex.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate support areas such as HR Services, Labour Relations, IT, and Finance to ensure success on joint deliverables.
Key Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor degree in business or healthcare required; Master degree in related field an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years progressive supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Project management and organizational change-management expertise and experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing innovative services, policies, procedures, and/or programs in the areas of Workforce Management/Scheduling.
  • Human Resources and/or labour relations experience and/or education an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to respectfully resolve and diffuse conflict.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a highly demanding environment.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement savings plan.
