Your Impact:

  • Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that drives business growth and enhances our company culture.
    • Work closely with our executive team to bring innovative ideas and a progressive approach to all aspects of people-related initiatives.
    • Maintain a pulse on business needs and workforce planning to ensure we are always prepared for what's next.
  • HR Team Leadership:
    • Lead a high-performing team that includes Learning & Development Managers and HR Business Partners, guiding them to elevate their impact and contribute to strategic HR initiatives.
    • Foster a collaborative environment where your team feels empowered to bring innovative ideas and enhance the employee experience.
    • Ensure the team is aligned with company values and equipped to navigate change while maintaining a strong focus on people and culture.
  • Learning & Development:
    • Champion a culture of continuous learning where employees feel excited to grow and upskill themselves.
    • Drive the adoption of innovative learning technologies to create scalable, interactive, and personalized learning experiences.
    • Design and implement leadership development initiatives that help managers grow as people-centered, performance-driven leaders.
    • Equip leaders with the skills to coach, motivate, and inspire their teams, balancing accountability with empathy.
  • Performance Management with Heart:
    • Design and lead a performance management system that focuses on real growth and meaningful impact.
    • Oversee the annual performance evaluation process to ensure alignment with company goals and individual growth.
    • Foster regular check-ins, feedback loops, and development planning to encourage high performance.
    • Coach managers to provide thoughtful, constructive feedback that helps everyone reach their full potential.
  • Compensation & Total Rewards:
    • Craft a rewards strategy that is competitive, transparent, and in sync with what our team values most.
    • Lead the annual compensation and salary increase process, working closely with finance and leaders to recognize performance and market trends.
    • Regularly evaluate our compensation programs to ensure they are fair, motivating, and keep us competitive in the market.
  • Executive-Level Employee Relations:
    • Serve as the trusted advisor for handling complex matters within the executive team.
    • Provide expert guidance to our leaders, navigating sensitive situations with integrity and a people-first approach.
  • Employer Branding & Culture:
    • Lead initiatives that make us a company people are excited to work for and proud to stay with.
    • Foster an inclusive, engaging environment that encourages everyone to bring their unique selves to work.
  • Legal & Compliance Matters:
    • Expertly navigate Canadian labour laws, employment standards, and HR compliance.
    • Regularly review and update HR policies to ensure they are comprehensive, relevant, and aligned with best practices.

    What You Bring:

    • A background in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • At least 8 years of experience in HR, with 5+ years in a senior role overseeing the full HR function and driving strategic initiatives.
    • Strategic vision, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of Canadian labour laws and employee relations practices.

    Where You'll Work:

    This role is ideally based in Toronto or Ottawa, with a request to work on-site 1–2 days a week. Some travel to other locations may be required on rare occasions.
