Job Summary:
Chandos is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting to identify potential gains and losses, and provide leadership and direction for all project activities and tasks to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Site Leadership: Ensure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities for all site personnel, and provide regular and respectful feedback to team members.
- Equipment Management: Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where it's required, and inspect tools and equipment to notify the Tools and Equipment Manager for service and repair as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience: Five or more years of experience in commercial construction for a large general contractor, with one or more years of experience as a superintendent for a large general contractor.
- Certifications: Journeyman trade certification or equivalent experience, technical diploma, and/or Gold Seal certification are considered assets.
