Job Summary

Chandos is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to lead our construction projects and ensure their successful delivery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing project activities, monitoring budgets, and providing leadership and direction to site personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting to identify potential gains and losses, and provide leadership and direction for all project activities and tasks.
  • Site Management: Ensure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities for all site personnel, and provide regular and respectful feedback.
  • Equipment Management: Monitor company equipment and supplies, and inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and direction to site personnel, and collaborate with other teams to ensure project outcomes are delivered successfully and in compliance with all contracts and client needs.
Qualifications
  • Journeyman Trade Certification: Possess journeyman trade certification or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Diploma and/or Gold Seal Certification: Hold a technical diploma and/or Gold Seal certification, which are considered assets.
  • Commercial Construction Experience: Have five or more years of experience in commercial construction for a large general contractor.
  • Superintendent Experience: Have one or more years of experience as a superintendent for a large general contractor.
