Site Superintendent

Bird Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team in Kelowna, BC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating, administering, and supervising construction projects in the Interior BC region.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and administer construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Supervise and manage site operations, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental policies, and company standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Manage and control site logistics, including transportation, storage, and waste management.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address any issues or deficiencies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to site staff, including training and development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in the healthcare, education, sports, and recreation sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent budgeting, costing, and scheduling skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct site staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Procore, and SAP.
