We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intergovernmental Relations Director to join our team at Treaty One Nations Inc.

Job Summary:

The Intergovernmental Relations Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, stakeholders, and Indigenous communities. This role will involve advising senior leadership on policy and program development, as well as providing strategic guidance on intergovernmental affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain relationships with government agencies, stakeholders, and Indigenous communities
  • Advise senior leadership on policy and program development, including the development of policies and programs unique to government
  • Provide strategic guidance on intergovernmental affairs, including the development of policies and programs related to public affairs and intergovernmental relations
  • Draft legal correspondence and other documents as required
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members in various areas of responsibility
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public administration, political science, or business administration
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field, including experience in government relations, public affairs, or policy development
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work Environment:

This is a temporary position with a work term of 80 hours bi-weekly. The work language is English.
