Intergovernmental Relations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intergovernmental Relations Director to join our team at Treaty One Nations Inc.
Job Summary:The Intergovernmental Relations Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, stakeholders, and Indigenous communities. This role will involve advising senior management on policy and program development, as well as providing strategic guidance on intergovernmental affairs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain relationships with government agencies, stakeholders, and Indigenous communities.
- Provide advice and guidance to senior management on policy and program development, including intergovernmental affairs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement policies and programs that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Represent the organization at government meetings, conferences, and other events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public administration, political science, or business administration.
- 3-5 years of experience in intergovernmental relations, government relations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of government policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
This is a temporary position with a work term of 80 hours bi-weekly. The work language is English.
