Intergovernmental Relations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intergovernmental Relations Director to join our team at Treaty One Nations Inc.
Job Summary:The Intergovernmental Relations Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, Indigenous communities, and organizations to advance the interests of Treaty One Nations Inc.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain relationships with government agencies, Indigenous communities, and organizations
- Provide advice and guidance to senior management on intergovernmental relations and policy matters
- Represent Treaty One Nations Inc. at government meetings, conferences, and other events
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement policies and programs that support the interests of Treaty One Nations Inc.
- Monitor and analyze government policies and initiatives to identify opportunities and challenges for Treaty One Nations Inc.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in intergovernmental relations or a related field
- Valid driver's license and own transportation
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations
- Knowledge of government policies and initiatives related to Indigenous affairs
- Ability to speak an Indigenous language
