This role is a hybrid position, requiring one day per week at our Port Moody office to participate in critical meetings and strategy planning sessions.

As a Senior Software Engineer in our Merlin group, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Trader Interactive by spearheading the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, concepts, and methods in specialty vehicle marketplaces. You'll collaborate closely with your team to define innovative ideas and bring them to life. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers while refining your own skills in an agile environment.
You'll contribute to designing elegant solutions to complex problems in collaboration with your technical lead and product team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability software solutions at scale
- Mentor junior engineers on the team
Key qualifications for this position include:
- 7+ years of experience writing software utilizing the React framework
- ~4+ years of experience working with HTML, CSS, and Javascript/Typescript, .NET Framework, and C#
- Experience with writing Unit Tests (NUnit, etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of modern web application development practices and microservices architectures
We're seeking individuals with hands-on experience in building and maintaining cost-efficient, scalable cloud solutions in AWS, as well as expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and other DevOps tools. Domain knowledge in RVs, Motorcycles, ATVs, and/or Trucks is also beneficial.
