Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team in British Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering programs related to scientific fields, advising senior executives on environmental issues, monitoring budgets allocated to environmental programs, and managing environmental field work programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer programs related to scientific fields;
  • Advise senior executives on environmental issues related to the company's activities;
  • Monitor budgets allocated to environmental programs;
  • Monitor environmental non-compliance and required corrective actions;
  • Manage environmental field work programs;
  • Manage, review and sign-off on technical reports;
  • Liaise with regulators, contractors and other third parties.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of relevant contaminated sites/reclamation/natural sciences experience in environmental consulting in BC, with 5+ years of project management experience;
  • Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline;
  • Experience in contaminated sites on urban sites, with extensive knowledge of the various provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines;
  • Experience in managing technically complex projects, working with a dynamic team, and overseeing cost controls;
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
