Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions to support the growth and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality software solutions to support the growth and success of our business.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product development opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and develop new products and solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications to ensure quality and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the development of product roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in the mining industry.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring framework, Kotlin, Git, and other relevant tools and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with automated test frameworks, including Gurkin, Cucumber.
- Knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with Azure DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven and Microservices Design, gRPC.
- Good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD practices, and Agile development methodologies.
