We are seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Structures Engineer to join our team at Entuitive in Toronto.
As a key member of our high-calibre group of professionals, you will play a crucial role in re-imagining the future of building construction. Your primary focus will be on structural design and analysis with an emphasis on transportation structures such as maintenance facilities and transit stations.
You will be responsible for designing and detailing structural elements related to transportation structures, assembling and coordinating engineering drawings, and delivering projects from conception through completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with talented individuals who deliver complex projects regularly. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior staff, lead client meetings, and conduct reviews of architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings.
To succeed in this role, you will need an engineering degree with a focus on civil and structural engineering, coupled with 10+ years of professional experience in the AEC industry. You should have experience managing structural design of complex transit projects, preferably for light rail transit, tunneling, underground stations, storage and maintenance facilities, operating systems, and related works.
Achieved or working towards professional engineering status in the Province of Ontario is also required. Knowledgeable in appropriate building codes and experience working in structural design of concrete and steel projects are essential.
A strong project management capability with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget is necessary. You must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel, as well as structural analysis software such as SAFE, SAP2000, RAM, etc.
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000-$160,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. We offer flexible working hours, a 37.5-hour work week, and a minimum of three days a week in the office. You will also have access to employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums for employees and their dependents, generous parental leave policy, RRSP matching up to 5%, and participation in our discretionary profit-sharing plan.
