Accounting Professional

We are seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our team at Potentia Human Resources Inc. as a Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in senior bookkeeping and/or accounting, preferably in a public practice environment.
Key Responsibilities- Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Prepare GST, PST, and WCB returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Client Interaction: Gather necessary documents for bookkeeping and tax returns, building strong relationships with clients.
- Team Support: Assist other staff members with office admin tasks and provide support as needed.
- Client Service: Work closely with senior accountants to assist clients with their bookkeeping needs.
- Three or more years of senior bookkeeping and/or accounting experience, preferably in a public practice environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as Sage, QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Profile.
- Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite, with exceptional Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to handle data with confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
- The ability to thrive in a team-based environment, with a self-motivated and autonomous work style.
- A positive disposition, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
The salary for this position is anticipated to be $28-$32/hour, based on experience and qualifications. We offer a flexible working environment that values family life and acknowledges the importance of balancing work and personal commitments.
