About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team at Sussex Insurance Company. As an Accounting Professional, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Management: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Accounting System Administration: Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial documents and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls to minimize financial risk.
  • Financial Systems Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and management practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks.
Working Conditions
  • Work Type: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
