About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team at Sussex Insurance Company. As an Accounting Professional, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Manage and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
    • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Accounting Systems
    • Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Analyze financial documents and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Payroll Administration
    • Oversee payroll administration, including processing payroll, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
