Production Operator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team at DPC Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing and packaging of whey powder in accordance with our high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Operate packaging and production equipment as assigned by the Whey Plant Supervisor or Lead Hand.
- Package whey powder and dairy blend powders with precision and accuracy.
- Receive and process raw materials, including whey and permeate.
- Assist in shipping blended dairy products and prepare finished goods for loading.
- Adhere to Best Operating Procedures to ensure the highest quality product possible.
- Accurately record data and inventory entries into our AS400 system.
- Demonstrate teamwork, co-operation, responsibility, initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of whey packaging equipment.
- Ensure a safe working environment and comply with all health and safety requirements.
- Participate in our HACCP program and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Contribute to the efficient use of equipment and material resources.
- Maintain effective internal working relationships.
- Support and maintain our quality standards.
- Experience in a dairy or food manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Forklift license is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with analytical and organizational abilities.
- Proven leadership and team orientation.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
