Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse - Clinical Leadership Role

Job Summary: Shared Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse to provide professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.

About Us: Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba.

Job Description:

As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing independent nursing services, administering prescribed medical treatments, and facilitating coordination of patient care and discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments, such as medications and injections, and monitor patient responses.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Registered Psychiatric Nursing or a related field.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Relevant experience in mental health nursing, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including electronic health records and other relevant systems.
