Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team in a clinical role. The successful candidate will provide professional nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent nursing services, administer interventions and treatments, and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements.
  • Knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Ability to prioritize care for individual patients or groups of patients.
  • Ability to delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent, related mental health experience.
  • Knowledge of the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses/Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses.
  • Knowledge of the College of Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses.
