Job Title: Psychiatric Nursing Assistant

At Shared Health, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as an active member of the treatment team, providing therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions to patients based on recovery/treatment plans. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work as part of a team, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patients with supervision and guidance, assistance with personal care, comfort, and support in daily living activities.
  • Participate in therapeutic and recreational activities with patients in a safe manner.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course preferred.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
