Job Summary

Groupe Touchette inc. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for participating in the preparation of financial statements and carrying out various reports and analyses for management and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements and ensure the accuracy of the information provided.
  • Financial Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and prepare financial data to justify the corresponding accounting entries in the general ledger.
  • Balance Sheet Monitoring and Reconciliation: Monitor and reconcile balance sheet items under your responsibility.
  • Budget Variance Analysis: Examine budget variances and explain their nature.
  • Internal Control Development and Implementation: Develop and implement internal controls.
  • Annual External Audit Preparation: Participate in preparation for annual external audit.
  • Special Mandates: Participate in various special mandates.
  • Other Related Tasks: Perform all other related tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Accounting Background: Bachelor's degree in administration/accounting plus 1 to 5 years' experience in the field.
  • CPA Accreditation: CPA accreditation is an asset.
  • Computer Expertise: Master the advanced functions of Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, etc.) and be very comfortable with accounting ERP packages. Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is an asset.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Be a true team player, encouraging collaboration with colleagues to facilitate learning. Build strong relationships and become a trusted business partner whose advice is greatly appreciated.
  • Time Management: Have a remarkable ability to concentrate despite stress and tight deadlines. Organize your time to ensure deadlines are met at all times.
  • Analytical and Detail-Oriented: Be analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Thoroughness: Be professional and meticulous, paying close attention to detail and ensuring the accuracy of information provided at all times.
  • Bilingualism: Communicate easily in French and English, both orally and in writing.
