At Intact Financial Corporation, we're seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our Financial Reporting & Consolidation department. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in the analysis and disclosure of financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of Intact Financial Corporation's quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
  • Contribute to the accounting of unusual transactions, such as acquisitions, tax reorganizations, and complex accounting operations.
  • Assist in the monthly consolidation of Intact Financial Corporation's various subsidiaries, including foreign-currency entities.
  • Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly analyses, including analytical review.
  • Support the external auditors by providing explanations and analyses as required.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required.
  • 5 years of experience in accounting, IFRS accounting standards, or complex accounting transactions.
  • Experience in consolidation tools (financial reporting) is required.
  • Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, or implementation of these tools is an asset.
