Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dog Care Attendant to join our team at the CNIB Canine Campus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to the dogs and puppies in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and attention to dogs, including feeding, exercising, and grooming.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for the dogs, including kennel maintenance and waste disposal.
  • Assist with handling dogs in a safe and humane manner, following advice from our experienced team members.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of the dogs, reporting any concerns to our supervisor.
  • Administer treatments and medications as needed, under the guidance of our veterinary team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our dogs, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; animal care experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of dog behavior, health, and nutrition essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Physical stamina to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
