We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dog Care Attendant to join our team at the CNIB Canine Campus. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to the dogs and puppies in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and attention to dogs, including feeding, exercising, and grooming.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for the dogs, including cleaning kennels and disposing of waste.
  • Assist with kennel maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of the dogs, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
  • Develop and implement enrichment programs to promote the mental and physical well-being of the dogs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; animal care experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of dog behavior, health, and nutrition.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to handle large dogs and heavy loads.
