Director, Business Development- Global

Octopus Deploy is seeking a highly skilled Director, Business Development to join our team. As a key member of our revenue leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Associate Account Executives to create qualified opportunities for the sales team. Your expertise will help drive business growth and expansion, while fostering a collaborative and high-trust environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of Associate Account Executives to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities for the sales team.
- Train and mentor team members to improve performance and abilities over time.
- Plan for hiring and onboarding new AAEs, and build out the AAE function.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to provide feedback on MQLs and campaigns.
- Collaborate with Operations and other members of the revenue leadership team to improve opportunity management, governance, and qualification processes.
- Accurately forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics and attainment.
- Excellent spoken and written English. Bilingual preferred.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in the DevOps space.
- Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service for a technical product (DevOps preferred).
- Must have sold to developers in the past.
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
- Experience in sales operations and/or marketing automation software preferred.
