Job Title: Director, Business Development- Global

Octopus Deploy is seeking an experienced Director, Business Development- Global to lead our sales efforts and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our customer base and increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Associate Account Executives to create qualified opportunities for the sales team
  • Train and mentor team members to improve performance and abilities
  • Plan for hiring and onboarding new team members
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to provide feedback on MQLs and campaigns
  • Collaborate with Operations and other members of the revenue leadership team to improve opportunity management and governance processes
  • Accurately forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics and attainment
Requirements:
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service for a technical product (DevOps preferred)
  • Must have sold to developers in the past
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in the DevOps space
  • Have been an AE or SDR/BDR in the past
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience in sales operations and/or marketing automation software preferred
  • Understanding of B2B software and the developer product space is preferred
