Clio, a pioneering innovator in legal technology, is poised to revolutionize the legal landscape with cutting-edge products and services. Our goal is to empower legal professionals in their interactions with clients and court systems.

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the development and maintenance of highly secure, available, and performant infrastructure at Clio. The ideal candidate should have expertise in collaborating across the engineering organization to provide the right systems and services that enable product development velocity, foster discussions about core efficiency or performance problems, and diagnose and solve production issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, reviewing, and deploying infrastructure-as-code across all Clio environments.
  • Automating friction points and creating observability tooling to accelerate investigation and reduce time to resolve, and promoting its use across the engineering organization.
  • Serving as a mentor and collaborator for systems engineering managers and individual contributors.
  • Navigating the Clio Engineering department to understand product bugs, features, and launches, identifying infrastructure dependencies or gaps, and delivering impactful solutions that enable Clio developers to deploy better products faster.
  • Partnering with Clio's product development teams to ensure all products meet high standards for security, performance, reliability, availability, and change velocity.

  • An experienced senior engineering leader who can manage and mentor high-performing teams, nurture talent, and guide individuals toward professional growth and development.
  • Adept at crafting long-term strategies and managing technical roadmaps that pave the way for future growth.
  • Capable of running agile organizations at scale and with a sense of urgency to deliver quality software that solves customer problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in promoting positive culture and diversity throughout a large engineering organization.
