Seeking a seasoned Senior Infrastructure Project Manager for a permanent, full-time opportunity in Vancouver BC. The ideal candidate will have 20+ years of experience in managing complex infrastructure projects with international joint venture partners.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead a collaborative team of construction professionals to deliver transformative major infrastructure projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Development
    • Participate in bidding and proposal teams to secure new work.
  • Project Management
    • Deliver against all budget, schedule & quality targets by establishing safety protocols, developing project plans, and ensuring key metrics are established.
    • Responsible for project closeout, including financial and commercial aspects.
  • Commercial Management
    • Ensure JV interests are protected under the Prime Contract, implement efficient change order processes, and manage financial/cash flow effectively.
    • Risk identification and mitigation planning.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, architects, engineering firms, joint venture partners, and government stakeholders.
  • People Management
    • Create a positive culture and environment, hire, supervise, coach, and mentor project personnel.
    • Communicate with Sr. Management to ensure adequate resources are provided.
  • Communication
    • Build engagement through ongoing communication with staff and stakeholders.
    • Provide required project reporting/forecasting.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated annual salary of $300k+, plus bonus and benefits.

About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • A minimum of 20 years of construction leadership experience on complex major projects.
  • In-depth expertise in civil construction with a solid understanding of rail systems.
  • Experience working on complex contractual agreements and project financing.
  • 3+ years' experience working on complex rail projects and stations.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage large and complex construction projects.
  • Experience working on projects with international joint venture partners.
  • Thorough knowledge of change management principles and claims management.
  • Proven track record with claims management and dispute resolution on major projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
