Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Consultant to join our team. This is a temporary project with an approximate length of 3-4 months. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a security check.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate plans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Establish and coordinate Employment Equity and Diversity Committees, fostering a culture of inclusion and respect.
  • Create policies, guidelines, and procedures regarding Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate, promoting a fair and equitable work environment.
  • Design and implement Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate promotion/communications strategy plan, positive measures programs for all designated groups.
  • Provide training, information sessions, and presentations to management and employees, identifying and providing accommodation resources.
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, focus groups, and other activities to promote awareness and understanding of Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate.
  • Advise HR Systems teams and Information Technology (IT) teams on Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate initiatives.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching assistance to management and employees on Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources Management or a related field of study.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or relevant professional designation in Human Resources.
  • 10 years of consultant experience.
  • Experience in developing Employment Equity and Diversity programs, including tools and related activities, and developing training and information sessions on Employment Equity.
  • Experience in developing awareness tools for managers and employees to better understand the Duty to Accommodate requirements.
  • Excellent report writing skills and presentation skills to provide guidance and advice to management and employees.
  • Demonstrated consultation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills to conduct focus groups and interviews in relation to Employment Equity.
  • Bilingual (English and French) in oral, writing, and reading is required.
Compensation Package

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a generous retirement plan.
