About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Product Manager to join our Product team at PolicyMe Corp. This is an opportunity to be a true owner of your work, building things that will be used by a large customer base and truly change the way that customers buy insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for leading the development of new insurance products, from pre-launch to launch and beyond, as well as the enhancement of existing products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers by talking to them regularly, analyzing our performance data, setting up mechanisms for collecting feedback throughout our flow, and defining customer personas.
  • Articulate the strategic goals for our product and define the roadmap for how we get there, communicating progress against the roadmap and goals to all key stakeholders.
  • Manage a backlog of new builds to meet our customers' needs, improve our back-end integrity, innovate, and ultimately reach the defined vision.
  • Prioritize what our engineers invest time on and in what order, developing and executing a disciplined process to prioritize new features, product optimizations, bugs, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and customer success members to write detailed specifications for what needs to be done to build and launch new features.
  • Serve as the center-point across all functions for ensuring the new build is completed on-time and to specifications.
  • Work with the product team to ensure that the new release has been thoroughly tested and is ready to launch.
  • Measure the key metrics for our product and report out to the broader organization.

  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, and well-informed product specifications/requirements.
  • The ability to structure ambiguous problems, with a sense of ownership and excitement about driving a project from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, with comfort bringing people together, leading teams, and managing projects with many moving parts.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style to meet different audiences and set expectations with different stakeholders.
  • A strong sense for prioritization, with the ability to prioritize different builds and define what is truly part of an MVP to optimize developer productivity.
  • Curiosity and comfort with technical topics, with the ability to ask clarifying questions and dive into complex topics.
  • An analytical mindset, with comfort working with product data, defining its structure, and running analyses to answer key questions.
  • Relevant product experience, with 5 plus years of experience in product management, product marketing, and/or strategy experience, preferably in a consumer technology setting.
