About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Public Affairs and Business Development to join our team at Hill & Knowlton. As a key member of our Public Affairs practice, you will be responsible for providing senior-level counsel to our clients, driving business growth, and managing significant client mandates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic public affairs counsel to clients across various industries, including financial services, healthcare, energy, technology, and transportation.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive new revenue growth and expand our client base.
  • Lead and manage complex client projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality results and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement integrated communication strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and training to help them grow in their careers.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in public policy and regulatory affairs, with a strong understanding of the Ontario provincial and municipal governments, provincial agencies, and organizations.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community groups.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of the financial, transportation, or energy sectors is an asset, as is experience with social media and digital advocacy.
