Job Title: Public Affairs Manager

Job Summary:

In the role of Public Affairs Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Public Affairs and play a crucial part in advancing the Brand and Reputation Risk Program. Your duties will encompass managing public issues, engaging with community stakeholders, and bolstering the organization's brand and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of the public affairs and issues management strategy as outlined by the Brand and Reputation Risk Program.
  • Collaborate on continuous monitoring and reporting of issues to assess their impact on the organization's brand.
  • Oversee and participate in public engagements to effectively communicate the organization's narrative and enhance its reputation.
  • Draft responses to campaigns from advocacy groups and other public platforms that may influence the organization's reputation.
  • Support the creation of issue briefs, reputation risk evaluations, and reports for executive leadership and the Board.
  • Evaluate and propose actions regarding speaking engagements and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for reputation management and crisis communication.
  • Foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including media representatives and consultants.
  • Assist in the formulation and revision of corporate policies related to external communications.

  • Proven experience in issues management, crisis communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational capabilities.
  • A degree in a relevant field along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in public affairs.
