About the Role

As a Technical Director - Project Conception at FNX-INNOV, you will play a key role in the success of our projects by providing technical support, resolving issues, and sharing your expertise to ensure quality and client satisfaction while respecting deadlines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: You will be a mentor to project team members, sharing your technical expertise and answering their questions to promote professional development and technical excellence within the team.
  • Problem-Solving: You will intervene quickly to resolve technical issues encountered in projects, ensuring that your intervention is completed within reasonable deadlines to maintain the project schedule and quality.
  • Tool Development: You will design and develop calculation tools, as requested by management, to improve operational efficiency and profitability of services, enabling the team to work more efficiently and accurately.
  • Client Support: You will provide technical support to clients, upon request and in agreement with the project manager, to help them make informed decisions on technical choices.
  • Professional Responsibility: As a designer or verifier on projects, you will be responsible for plans, estimates, and invoices.
  • Quality Control: You will play a key role in review committees to ensure the quality of deliverables when necessary. Your expertise is essential to ensure compliance with technical standards and specifications of various clients.
  • Tech Guidance: You will dedicate time to guiding drafters before and throughout projects to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables.
  • Other Related Tasks

About You

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Affiliations: Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec
  • Experience: Relevant experience of 10 years in study projects, capacity evaluation, and detailed design projects targeting Bridges and structures
  • Software Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the standards and procedures of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Quebec
  • Training: Completion of required training by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Quebec
  • Project Management: Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects
  • Personal Qualities: Rigorous, methodical, analytical spirit, and teamwork ability
