Job Summary

Kerry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Manager to lead our environmental stewardship efforts at our Renfrew plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective HSE programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HSE programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with site operations management and business unit HSE Manager to facilitate the implementation of HSE annual objectives and improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental permits and program requirements specific to the site.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Report and submit environmental sustainability information in our ESG program in Intelex on a monthly basis.
  • Manage the site's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Act as an effective organizational coach and mentor to foster a safe work culture.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of the site, developing corrective and preventive actions with operations teams as needed.
  • Identify HSE training needs, develop resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff.
  • Organize and facilitate site safety committee meetings.
  • Support site supervisors with the investigation of HSE incidents, leading the investigation process and collaborating with corporate staff as necessary.
  • Communicate HSE incidents and corrective actions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain HSE records to ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of HSE experience in a manufacturing setting or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement in safety.
  • Ability to affect change through indirect leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to travel infrequently.
