This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled professional to lead our merchant solutions strategy, focusing on driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence through strategic partnerships.

Your Role:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to drive revenue growth from key merchant segments.
  • Pursue net new revenue opportunities by establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with merchants, OEMs, and platform providers.
  • Drive business development activities across various segments, including merchants, platform providers, system integrators, and OEMs.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to develop commercialization strategies that leverage Interac's full range of product capabilities.
  • Design and implement sales strategies that position Interac for long-term success across all its services.
  • Act as a key liaison between clients and internal stakeholders to ensure client needs are incorporated into future product, policy, and process developments.
  • Play a critical role in achieving business development plan objectives, including meeting or exceeding sales targets and timeframes while driving results and contributing to the creation of business development strategic and annual operating plans.

Key Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Commerce or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in retail or OEM sectors.
  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
  • Proven track record of navigating complex sales cycles and securing high-value contracts.
  • Familiarity with payment and/or verification technologies and landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders in large organizations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
