About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and service in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase local ingredients and meet the expectations of our guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to optimize kitchen efficiency and profitability.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and open communication among team members.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a sous chef or equivalent role in a similar industry setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, food costing, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and high standards of quality.
What We Offer
