Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and excellence in food quality.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Supervise food preparation, presentation, and plating to ensure high-quality dishes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house and events, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends, techniques, and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a head chef or executive chef in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a team and achieving high-quality results.
  • Excellent culinary skills, including menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
