Job Title: Mental Health and Substance Use Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health and Substance Use Services Coordinator to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Specialized Services department, you will play a vital role in coordinating mental health and substance use services, ensuring seamless care coordination and support for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and assign requests for consultation, prioritizing based on urgency and patient assessment.
  • Provide consistent liaison with physician, nursing unit staff, and other healthcare professionals, building capacity through supporting care planning and education.
  • Network with community programs and support coordinated transition to community services.
  • Support care coordination with relevant community and emergency services partners.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN.
  • Three years of recent related clinical experience in an acute care Mental Health and Substance Use setting.
  • Additional training/education in opioid agonist therapies, addiction, and psychiatric pharmacotherapy processes.
  • Valid driver's license.
