We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in providing compassionate patient care in mental health and substance use programming. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients, families, and community service providers to deliver high-quality care and support services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide ongoing intensive outreach nursing care and case management services for assigned clients
- Design, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans to maximize community functioning and reduce re-hospitalization
- Work in close association with inter-professional community mental health and substance use staff, emergency services, Indigenous partners, and community service providers
- Assess and intervene with clients to provide nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the public using verbal, written, and computer communication means
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or a practicing RPN registrant
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in mental health and substance use programming or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to operate related equipment, including relevant computer applications
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
